On this page I want to show you the best family resorts and hotels for children in Salou and the surrounding areas.
We have visited many of them, others we have simply added because of their good reputation and we hope to visit them soon.
Best Cap Salou

- Personal Rating 7.5/10
- Salou
Pros
- Great water park for kids
- 5 meters from the beach
- Pool area with tree shade
Cons
- A bit noisy
We stayed for two days at Best Cap Salou because we wanted to experience firsthand one of the most famous hotels for kids in Salou.
It is located right in front of the beach. That is, you step out of the hotel and touch the sand.
It has an indoor pool for families , a small but complete gym (it worked for me and I could do almost my entire routine), and the highlight of the hotel: a water park with slides for children that is quite cool with good lifeguard attention.
The family rooms are renovated and are standard. Two large beds, a balcony, and a bathroom. We liked the detail of having two pillows per person.
Regarding the food. I must say I have been to many hotels, and the food here is about average, perhaps slightly above other hotels in the same category.
If you want to know my full experience, read my review of Hotel Best Cap Salou .
We recommend Best Cap Salou to families with children between 3 and 10 years old who are looking for a hotel very close to the beach, with an all-inclusive option and plenty of animation and games for kids.
Low season : From €80 / night for families. High season : From €200 / night for families.
Hotel Jaime I

- Personal Rating 7.0/10
- Salou Center
Pros
- 3 water park areas
- Lots of animation and games
- Several pools
Cons
- A bit noisy
- Food could be improved
We stayed for two days at Hotel Jaime I because we received many messages asking about this hotel.
So, we decided to spend a few days checking out firsthand everything good and bad it has to offer, and recommending it from experience.
It is located in the heart of Salou center , so you won’t lack restaurants or shops.
The beach is about an 8-minute walk away , and it’s actually quite beautiful (4.5/5 on Google).
As for the animation and facilities for children, I can say it’s among the best in Catalonia.
It is a family hotel that offers a wide variety of activities, slide areas for kids , a water park, and splash areas, all located near the umbrellas so parents can supervise their little ones (the splash area is 2m from the loungers).
What I liked least was the food ; they need to improve in that area.
Although there is variety, some dishes lack flavor . That’s why I recommend booking with half board and taking advantage of the local beach bars.
And in the process, you step out of the resort, because with so many facilities and games, you might end your vacation without having left. haha.

I recommend Hotel Jaime I to families with children up to 12 years old looking for a resort with tons of activities.
We recommend half board and eating out at local beach bars or restaurants with good value for money.
La Siesta Camping Salou

- Rating Online 8.9/10
- Salou
Pros
- Nº1 camping for kids in Salou
- Bungalows for up to 6 people
- 4 pool areas
- Very good cleanliness
Cons
- Difficult to find availability in summer
La Siesta Salou Resort is located 500 meters from Salou beach.
The camping has 4 outdoor pools surrounded by trees , which is appreciated in summer for the shade.
The bungalow is highly recommended , most of which come equipped with: TV, fully equipped kitchen, and several rooms for up to 6 people.
The pools are varied, with a hydro-massage area, slides for children , and a solarium.
The children’s mini-club offers many activities , keeping kids entertained all day long.
The buffet restaurant by the pool serves a good variety of food, and there is also a bakery, a supermarket, and a cafeteria.
We recommend La Siesta Salou to families looking for accommodations for large families in Salou that are also close to the beach and have animation for kids.
Low season : From €80 / night for families. High season : From €200 / night for families.
Hotel Best Sol D'or

- Rating Online 7.7/10
- Salou
Pros
- Right next to La Pineda Beach
- Good value for money
- 2 slide areas
Cons
- Gets very crowded in summer
Hotel Best Sol D’Or in Salou is located just 50 meters from Racó beach (next to La Pineda), a location very well-rated by tourists.
It offers two outdoor pools , one with slides for young children , and a sauna and hydro-massage area.
The family rooms are like most hotels: with air conditioning and a private balcony. Neither too large nor too small.
The buffet restaurant serves a variety of food, although it might seem like there isn’t enough variety, keep in mind that the hotel has 3 stars and its services and meals are in line with its stars.
There is entertainment for children and adults, although some reviews mention that the night shows could be improved.
We recommend Hotel Sol D’or to families with children aged 2 to 8 looking for a hotel with slides for young children in Salou and that is close to the beach.
Low season : From €80 / night for families. High season : From €210 / night for families.
Hotel Golden Family Suites

- Rating Online 8.1/10
- Salou
Pros
- Good quality food
- Good value for money
- Pool areas for kids and adults
Cons
- Beach is 600 meters away
This is an apart-hotel style accommodation, 4-star superior, so the facilities and the food are slightly above the average of other family hotels in Salou.
It has 4 outdoor pool areas, one of them with slides and water games, and an indoor pool with hydro-massage.
The food is one of its strong points, with good quality and variety in both breakfast and dinner.
We recommend Hotel Golden Avenida to families with young children (up to 7 years old) looking for apart-hotel style accommodation with quality facilities and meals.
Low season : From €80 / night for families. High season : From €200 / night for families.
Hotel Cala Font

- Rating Online 8.1/10
- Salou
Pros
- Very close to the beach
- Good facilities
Cons
- Difficult to find parking
- The dining room gets very crowded at once
Cala Font is a family hotel located on the outskirts of Salou, right in front of Cala Font , a beautiful cove with a 4.5/5 rating on Google .
It has two pool areas, smaller than other family hotels in the area, animation , and very good ratings for breakfast and dinner.
As a hotel recommended for families with very small children, it is quieter than others where the clientele tends to be older children and teenagers.
Low season : From €80 / night for families. High season : From €170 / night for families.
H10 Mediterranean Village

- Rating Online 8.5/10
- Salou
Pros
- Very good quality in facilities and services
- Extensive children's program
- For large families
Cons
- Only for high budgets
This is a hotel with options for large families (apartments with two bedrooms) or regular rooms for families of up to 4 members.
In general, H10 offers good quality in its facilities and services , and this hotel is no exception. However, for that reason, the price is higher than the average for family hotels in Salou.
As an extra point, it has a supermarket, two restaurants, and a gym.
Regarding animation, very good reviews for both the activities and the team. It also has a slide area for kids and a splash zone.
We recommend Hotel H10 Mediterranean Village to families looking for a superior family hotel near the beach , with a water park for children and areas for adults.
Low season
: From €80 / night for families.
High season
: From €230 / night for families.
Alannia Salou

- Rating Google 3.9/5
- Salou Center
Pros
- The facilities for children are very good
- Themed rooms
- Good animation team
Cons
- It is not near the beach
We continue with one of the hotels for children that I like the most in the area. It is 100% focused on families and, above all, on the little ones enjoying themselves to the fullest. It has family rooms with capacity for up to 5 people, spacious and, some, themed.
The facilities for children are a blast: two pools, one for all ages and another for children (both with slide areas), sports tracks, children’s play area, and a Mini Club for children from 4 years old. The animation team stands out, which will do everything possible for the children to have a great time.
For adults, it has a SPA and a gym.
I recommend it to families who have children up to about twelve years old.
PortAventura Hotel El Paso

- Rating Online 4.0/5
- Rambla del Parc
Pros
- Children's pool with pirate ship
- Access to Port Aventura and Ferrari Land
- All-inclusive option
Cons
- In high season, long queues form
Feel like visiting Port Aventura? This hotel, located within the park itself, is a great option for families. With your booking, you will have unlimited access to the park and 1 day of access to Ferrari Land.
In season, it features an outdoor jacuzzi, a pool for adults, and a children’s pool with a pirate ship . There is also an animation program and a game area with billiards.
To rest, it has themed family rooms for a maximum of 4 people.
The downside is that, in high season, the hotel is very crowded and long queues form, especially at the buffet.
Ohtels Villa Dorada

- Rating Google 3.8/5
- Salou Center
Pros
- Children's pool with splash zone
- Access to Port Aventura and Ferrari Land
- All-inclusive option
Cons
- In high season, long queues form
We close the list with this 3-star hotel located just 200 meters from Playa Larga and Capellanes Beach and only 10 minutes from Port Aventura. Its rooms are spacious and clean, although the pillows are very thin and, therefore, quite uncomfortable.
It has a pool for adults and another children’s pool with a splash zone for the little ones. It has a Mini Club, although it only opens in the mornings, and an animation program. It is important to keep in mind that most activities are in English.
For eating, the hotel houses a buffet restaurant with live cooking and offers an all-inclusive regime for bookings of more than 4 nights.
I recommend the hotel for families with children up to 4 years old looking for an all-inclusive hotel near the beach. I don’t recommend it for older children, the pools are small and with very childish games.
