I have been living in Tenerife for several years and have been able to discover great places to spend fun family vacations. Traveling all along the coast , I have been able to see some of the most recommended hotels if you are going with children.

I’ll tell you more information about them, from the most economical to those that are a bit more expensive , as well as the areas where they are located.

#1

Bahía Príncipe Fantasía

  • Personal Rating 8.5/10
  • Rating Google 4.8/5
  • Tenerife South

Pros

  • Has seven pools
  • Splash Pool and Children's Water Park
  • Has Spa and Gym
  • Lots of animation and friendly staff

Cons

  • The floor around the pool is slippery... I guess they'll fix it soon.
  • It's a high-end hotel with a high price

This Resort is located in the south of Tenerife, specifically in San Miguel de Abona, for those who know the place, a beautiful area to go as a family, where its ravines and volcanic cones stand out. And it is not a party area at all, so you can have peace at night with your children.

The hotel is a kind of “Disneyland”, as it has a themed castle and water park , in addition, it offers seven pools, one of them “infinity” and two outdoor pools for children (among others). It also has a splash area and slides for the kids.

The buffet is not bad, but for the hotel’s category (5 stars) it could have a bit more quality.

In short, I would recommend it to families with a high budget and with children between 5 and 8 years old who want to enjoy a fairytale holiday in Tenerife, very close to the beach.

Spring Hotel Bitácora

  • Rating Google 4.4/5
  • Arona, Playa de las Américas

Pros

  • Has good-sized slides
  • Has Spa and gym
  • Offers infinity pool for adults
  • Space for teenagers

Cons

  • The Wi-Fi works a bit poorly

This hotel is great for families, because it has a bit of everything for both children and teenagers. For example, there is a game area with more than 95 activities . Also, a space with video consoles , table football, interactive games… for those who are a bit older.

The facilities are very good, it offers a family pool with slides (with a minimum height of 1.20 m) , a separate children’s pool, one for adults (infinity) and a thermal outdoor Spa.

The rooms have a maximum capacity of four people , with a standard size, but well equipped.

I recommend it to those families with children up to 16 years old, who have a medium-high budget. Although if you want to see more hotels for teenagers, these are the best hotels with slides in Gran Canaria.

#3

GF Victoria

  • Rating Google 4.7/5
  • Costa Adeje

Pros

  • Has a water park
  • Surf Pool
  • Spacious and bright rooms
  • Adventure sports area

Cons

  • It is a superior luxury hotel. So the price is high.

Without a doubt I think it is a luxury hotel with very good facilities. It has a water park full of children’s games and waterfalls , a very large family pool and another for surfing.

It has different clubs, from babies (with block games, controlled crafts…), to the oldest, with a video game area, table football, spaces to create content…

The rooms are very spacious and some with luxury decorations (they have a maximum capacity for four people).

It also has an infinity pool, Spa, sports areas…

It is super recommended in terms of quality, but it is true that it is not suitable for all types of budgets and in terms of ages to take children, from the smallest to the oldest will enjoy this hotel very much.

#4

Landmar Costa Los Gigantes

  • Rating 4.4/5
  • Puerto de Santiago

Pros

  • Has three pools
  • Has a climbing wall and miniclub
  • Heated pool (winter season)

Cons

  • The rooms need maintenance

It is one of the cheapest hotels with slides in south Tenerife , you can find good offers and all-inclusive prices.

For the little ones, it has entertainment and several pools that have play and splash areas . Mind you, it only has one slide, so fun is scarce for older children.

As for everything else, the food is fine for the price you pay and the rooms are standard sized and complete , but, in my opinion, they need a bit of maintenance.

It is ideal for families with a small budget, with children up to 7 years old.

#5

Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife

  • Personal Rating 7.5
  • Rating Google 4.6/5
  • Adeje

Pros

  • Pool with direct access to the beach
  • Family pool area and water park in separate zones
  • Has a heated pool and Spa
  • The food has very good quality

Cons

  • When there are events it gets very crowded

Undoubtedly one of the hotels with the most activities in the area , in addition to having slides for children, it also has a splash area and a pool that faces the sea. It also offers a children’s club for all ages (from 6 months to 16 years old), one tip I can give is to book the clubs before arriving at the hotel , as they fill up very quickly in high season.

In terms of food, it has quite a few restaurants where you can choose and they are of good quality, according to the category of the hotel.

The rooms are super beautiful, as well as spacious and the whole resort is themed with musical themes.

The hotel is high-budget (though there are more expensive ones), and I recommend it to families with children up to eight years old ; while there are some activities for teenagers, the water slide area is more focused on the little ones .

#6

Grand Meliá Palacio de Isora

  • Rating Google 4.4/5
  • Alcalá, West Tenerife

Pros

  • Largest infinity pool in Europe
  • Has a children's pool and a slide area and pirate ship
  • Water waiter service (high season)

Cons

  • Has extra prices (like drinks) that are very expensive

I had to continue the list with this hotel, nothing to envy from those in Riviera Maya, as it has the largest infinity pool in Europe (400 m²), moreover, it is made of salt water from the Atlantic.

It offers a pool for children, another for adults and a zone with a children’s slide and a pirate ship for the little ones. It has several types of club (from 8 months to 12 years old) and also one for teenagers, offering a video game room for them.

The rooms are spacious, very beautiful and modern, and all have a balcony or terrace.

For all this, I recommend it to families with children of all ages, with a high budget and who want to enjoy the beach of Tenerife as a family.

#7

Tagoro Costa Adeje Family & Fun

  • Rating Google 4.6/5
  • Adeje

Pros

  • Has slides and a children's pool
  • Rooms are large for families
  • Offers Spa and gym

Cons

  • In the afternoons there is no miniclub

It is one of the most economical hotels on the list, so it had to be on it. It has a slides and splash zone (not for over twelve years of age) and has a miniclub , but the schedule is until 16:00, so the afternoon can be empty for the children.

The rooms are spacious for families and there are even some that have a jacuzzi.

We recommend it to you, if you have children up to twelve years of age and are looking for an economical hotel.

#8

Parque Santiago III

  • Personal Rating 8.5
  • Rating Google 4.4/5
  • Playa de las Américas

Pros

  • Has a children's water park
  • Offers salt pools "like a beach"
  • Many shaded and landscaped areas
  • Specific adults-only areas

Cons

  • The children's pool closes early (17:45)

It is one of the apart-hotel complexes that I like most in the area because it has very good facilities for children and for adults , plus it has a very economical price.

It has several pools, among them two are salt water (simulating a beach) and it also offers a children’s water park, with slides for children between four and twelve years old.

It has very well-equipped apartments with two bedrooms, and even you can choose a villa or duplex.

If you want a quiet and economical holiday , I recommend this hotel.

#9

Iberostar Bouganville Playa

  • Rating Google 4.7/5
  • Costa Adeje

Pros

  • Offers three pools with slides
  • Adults-only services
  • Rooms with sea views
  • Good organization in meals

Cons

  • The bathrooms are a bit small for my taste

Another hotel that is not bad at all to go as a family, it has adults-only areas in case you don’t have children, but if you do, there is no problem because the facilities are very good for them.

It offers a total of three pools with slides, in addition to several for the whole family.

The rooms have good views , they are comfortable and clean, the only drawback I would put is that the bathrooms are a bit small. For families, it has shared rooms.

I recommend this hotel if you are going with children of all ages , although it is a bit more expensive than others.

#10

Bahía Principe Sunlight

  • Rating Google 4.6/5
  • Costa Adeje

Pros

  • All-inclusive regime
  • Has two pools, one infinity with ocean views
  • Has Spa and gym

Cons

  • You need a car to go to the beach

It does not have slides, but the two pools it has are very large, one of them is infinity (for all audiences) and has views of the ocean and the other is heated, only open in winter.

In addition, for the children there is very good animation and it has a miniclub, from four to twelve years old.

The rooms are spacious , they don’t give a feeling of being cramped if you go as a family, besides they are clean. The food is fine, for the price you pay and the staff is very friendly.

I would tell you to choose this hotel if you have children up to eight years old.

#11

H10 Tenerife Playa

  • Rating Google 4.2/5
  • Puerto de la Cruz

Pros

  • Has three pools
  • The Spa has sea views
  • The buffet food is varied
  • The price is very good (all inclusive)

Cons

  • The hotel parking fills up quickly

The facilities of this hotel for going with children are very good, it offers two pools for adults (one heated in winter), a children’s pool and it also has a jacuzzi.

The Spa is very beautiful and is on the 10th floor, which means that it has sea views (the gym is also panoramic).

The rooms are clean and bright, moreover, they have a family room with an independent living room for more comfort.

Like most of the hotels we propose, it has a miniclub (from six to twelve years old) so we recommend it to families with children up to about eight years old, for the type of facilities it has and with a low-medium budget.

#12

Riu Buenavista

  • Rating Google 4.3/5
  • Costa Adeje

Pros

  • Children's pool and baby pool
  • Has slides
  • Offers children's club
  • Family rooms have a living room

Cons

  • The floor around the pools is slippery

A very well located hotel, it has the beach within a six-minute walk and a water park about 10 km away, it has several pools and one of them has water games for the little ones.

It offers a Spa and gym, and the rooms are very modern and well maintained, some have two bedrooms and a living room (67 m²).

As for the buffet and restaurants, it might lack a bit of variety, but it’s not bad. It also has an Asian restaurant, another Italian and another grill.

The slide area is recommended for children up to six years old. So if you want to go with your children and they are up to that age, the hotel is very good.

#13

Hovima La Pinta

  • Rating Google 4.5/5
  • Costa Adeje

Pros

  • Beachfront
  • Has slides and water games
  • Apartments renovated in 2017
  • Buffet and themed restaurant

Cons

  • Being large, it's possible that the pools are full

It is a complex of very well-equipped apartments , they have their own kitchen, in case you feel like cooking your own food. And if not, you have the option of going to the themed restaurants it offers.

It has a children’s club for babies, children and teenagers (up to 16 years old). In addition, it has activities and animation and even a nightly mini-disco.

The price is medium-high , but, if instead of rooms you feel like having apartments with sea views, I recommend it for you to go with your family.

#14

H10 Atlantic Sunset

  • Rating Google 4.7/5
  • Costa Adeje

Pros

  • Recently opened (in 2019)
  • Main pool with salt water
  • Has a children's water park
  • Good animation and miniclub

Cons

  • Has some extra charges

This one could not be missing from our list. It is a five-star hotel opened in 2019 with very good facilities for both children and adults.

The views from the hotel to the ocean are spectacular, although it is recommended for families that have a large budget for vacations.

It has five pools, the main pool, another heated family pool, two infinity pools (one for adults and the other exclusive Premium) and an indoor pool in the Spa. In addition, it offers a children’s water park with many slides for different ages and water games.

In general, I recommend it for families with children up to about 10 years old.

#15

Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle

  • Rating Google 4.6/5
  • Los Cristianos

Pros

  • Has five pools
  • The beach is relatively close
  • Has Spa and gym
  • Offers day and night animation

Cons

  • There is not much variety of food

This four-star hotel also does not have slides, but instead it has five pools and four jacuzzis , they are family and children’s (there is also an adults-only pool).

The rooms are very modern but it gave me the feeling that for a family it is a bit small.

As for the rest, the activity program is not bad at all , and as for the food, it lacked variety but the quality was fine.

It is a medium-budget hotel that I would recommend to families with children up to 7 years old.
