I help you choose the best hotel for your holiday

I’ve personally visited 200+ hotels across Spain and around the world. This is a hand-picked list of the best value hotels for summer 2026, especially ideal for UK families, with English shows, English-speaking staff, kids’ clubs and great all-inclusive options.

My advice: take your time, check a few options and click to check availability and prices. Prices can vary a lot between websites, I personally always use Trivago because it often shows deals I wouldn’t find otherwise.

#1. Magic Robin Hood

🏆 The best resort for families
Video Magic Robin Hood
  • Personal rating: 9.5/10
  • Online Rating: 8.3/10
  • Benidorm (50 min from Alicante Airport)
  • Around £300 a night
  • Shows in English — lots of UK families, so kids make friends easily
  • English-speaking staff & entertainment

PROS

  • Plenty of waterslide areas
  • Suitable for every family member
  • Gym and spa available
  • Accommodation options with private Jacuzzi

CONS

  • It's a luxury resort, so the price tag isn't for everyone 🙁

Read Our Experience 📝

Without a doubt, it's one of Spain's best resorts. Magic Robin Hood features a brilliant medieval theme, plenty of slides, and a wide variety of activities and shows, it's the childhood holiday we all dreamed of.

What stands out most about this resort is the sheer number of slides and water zones designed for the little ones, it will truly leave you amazed.

It's not necessarily a downside since you have the option to cook in your own accommodation, but the food (which is good, and I would honestly rate it an 8/10) isn't quite what you'd expect from a resort of this calibre. Everything else is absolutely top-notch.

#2. Pirates Village Club

  • Personal rating: 9.0/10
  • Online Rating: 8.0/10
  • Santa Ponsa, Mallorca
  • Around £300 a night
  • 🏴‍☠️ Best themed hotel in Majorca. I loved it!

PROS

  • Family-themed hotel
  • Brilliant pirate shows
  • Near a beautiful beach
  • Excellent overall ratings

CONS

  • Prices are high in the summer (though in line with its category)
  • It's more of a small-to-medium hotel rather than a massive resort

Read Our Experience 📝

We stayed for 3 nights at this family-themed hotel, and it was spectacular.

The shows are absolutely incredible: professional actors and dancers, quality costumes, daily performances… These are genuinely some of the most fun and well-produced shows I've seen in years of staying at hotels.

The pools were equally entertaining, you'd see parents playing in the water with their kids, everyone jumping in, children with their armbands tackling the slides… the vibe is just brilliant.

The best part? The pool slides start for children as young as 2 (they have tiny slides for the little ones alongside bigger ones for kids up to 8 years old).

The food was good. It's not the best buffet I've ever tried, but it's very solid (I'd give it a 7.5/10). The chefs are attentive, and there's good quality and variety on offer, so absolutely no complaints there.

The fully immersive pirate-themed decor truly completes the experience, you don't just get a holiday, you get an adventure. That's exactly why I give it a personal 9/10 rating.

P.S. The shows are all in English since Mallorca is basically British territory over the summer, haha!

#3. Magic Natura Animal & Water Park

Best Family Resort in Spain & #12 Worldwide
  • Personal rating: 8.5/10
  • Online Rating: 8.3/10
  • Benidorm (40 min from Alicante Airport)
  • Around £300 a night
Check dates and prices 📅

PROS

  • Large water park
  • On-site Natura Zoo
  • Bungalows with private Jacuzzi available
  • Luxury vibe with high-quality all-inclusive

CONS

  • It's 5 minutes away from the beach

Read Our Experience 📝

A resort that will truly take your breath away, this massive complex offers multiple accommodation types, featuring a thrilling water park and even an on-site zoo.

Important notes: Book the themed restaurants early as they fill up incredibly fast.

#4. Magic Aqua Rock Gardens

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Best for large families
  • Personal rating: 8.5/10
  • Online rating: 8.2/10
  • Benidorm, Costa Blanca
  • Best for kids aged 4 to 16
  • Around £220 a night
Check prices & availability

PROS

  • Large family rooms & apartments (no space issues)
  • Ultra All Inclusive (more than standard AI)
  • Great water slides & splash zones
  • Themed restaurants & good variety for kids
  • Very good value considering everything included

CONS

  • Can feel busy in peak summer
  • Not a luxury hotel (more fun-focused)
  • Some areas feel slightly dated

My honest take 📝

If you're travelling as a family and you don't want to feel cramped in one small hotel room, this is one of the best options in Spain.

The big win here is space + value. Rooms are much larger than average, and many feel more like apartments, so a family of 4 (or even more) won't have any issues at all.

But what really makes this place stand out is the All Inclusive. This is not your typical all inclusive. You get themed restaurants, extra perks, and even access to Magic Natura, where you can eat and drink using the same wristband.

For kids, it's an easy win: slides, pools, entertainment, and food they’ll actually eat. For parents, it's simple: everything is included, no surprises, and very good value compared to similar resorts.

Who is this hotel best for?

Perfect for families who want space, loads of activities, and maximum value for money, especially if you're travelling with 2+ kids and want everything included without constantly spending extra.

#5. Best Cap Salou

  • Personal rating: 8/10
  • Online rating: 7.5/10
  • Salou (1h from Barcelona Airport)
  • Around £200 a night
Check dates and prices 📅

PROS

  • Nice waterslide area
  • Water park specifically for little ones
  • Right in front of the beach
  • Spa area available

CONS

  • The main pool is a bit small (although most kids are in the water park and adults at the beach)

Read Our Experience 📝

If you enjoy the beach and want your kids to have a fantastic water park (perfect for children up to 14), the Best Cap Salou is a brilliant, affordable all-inclusive option.

The beach is small (mostly just used by hotel guests), quite sheltered, and literally steps away from the hotel.

The main pool features a large water park for kids, including a shallow pirate ship pool and two play areas. There are 5 slides designed for 'all ages,' with fun options that will keep kids up to 12,13 years old entertained for hours.

In terms of value for money, this is genuinely one of the best hotels I’ve tried. Prices rise sharply as summer approaches, so I highly recommend booking now if you can.

#6. Holiday World Polynesia Hotel

  • Personal rating: 8.5/10
  • Online rating: 8.0/10
  • Málaga (25 min from Málaga Airport)
  • Around £300 a night

PROS

  • Biggest water park & Beach Club in Andalusia
  • Beautifully themed hotel
  • Very spacious rooms (60m²)
  • Well-organised entertainment
  • Pools, kids’ play areas, and a lazy river

CONS

  • Some services aren't included in the all-inclusive (parking, rubber rings, and popcorn)

Read Our Experience 📝

I've stayed at this water slide resort twice, and both experiences were great. The second time was even better than the first because I already knew my way around the facilities and picked up a few tips to share with you.

First, let me tell you about the negatives, there were very few for me, but they should be mentioned. Popcorn costs extra even if you are on the all-inclusive package, and you can't take water bottles to go.

The positive is that you can easily walk to the beach from the hotel. There's a little bridge that crosses the road leading to the pirate-themed pool with tube slides and even a football pitch with coaches, it's basically a small water park right within the resort.

The rooms are incredibly spacious, you won't feel cramped like in hotels with tiny rooms. I'd give them a solid 10/10 for this.

It also features a games area, a decent-sized spa, and a gym (which I didn't try, so I can't comment on it).

An important detail to note: the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, it's a 30-minute drive to Málaga.

#7. AluaSun Costa Park

💰 Most affordable all-inclusive option
  • Online rating: 7.9/10
  • Torremolinos, Costa del Sol (Malaga)
  • Best for kids up to 6 years
  • Around £160 a night
Check prices & availability

PROS

  • One of the cheapest all-inclusive hotels in Spain
  • Great value for money
  • Simple slides & pools for younger kids
  • Good option if you're travelling on a budget
  • From Hyatt Inclusive Collection

CONS

  • Not a luxury hotel
  • Facilities are quite basic
  • Better suited for younger children

My honest take 📝

If you're looking for a cheap all-inclusive holiday in Spain, this is one of the best-value options you'll find around Málaga.

I haven’t stayed at this exact hotel, but I have stayed at its nearby sister property, AluaSun Marbella Park, and for the price, it was surprisingly good.

That said, don’t expect luxury. This is a simple, budget-friendly hotel from Hyatt All-Inclusive Collection where you get the basics covered: food, drinks, pools, and something to keep the kids entertained.

For younger children (especially under 6), it works well. Slides are smaller, the kid's club is good, the atmosphere is more relaxed, and everything is easy and convenient.

If your priority is saving money while still getting an all-inclusive experience with good reviews, this is a solid pick.

Who is this hotel best for?

Perfect for families on a budget with younger kids who want an easy, affordable all-inclusive holiday without spending too much.

#8. Evenia Olympic

  • Personal rating: 8.5/10
  • Online rating: 8.3/10
  • Costa Brava, Lloret de Mar
  • All-inclusive only, but very well priced
Check dates and prices 📅

PROS

  • Water park for kids up to 14 years old (with separate zones)
  • All-inclusive package available
  • Fully equipped, free-to-use gym
  • Excellent Spa circuit
  • Massive swimming pool areas

CONS

  • The food could be better. It's not bad by any means, but it's definitely the hotel's weakest point for my taste.

Read Our Experience 📝

We stayed for 3 nights at one of the most famous family hotels on the Costa Brava, and we were genuinely surprised by just how huge it is and the sheer amount of facilities available for both kids and parents.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the water park, which is divided into 3 completely separate zones. This means toddlers can play safely without any risks, whilst older kids can hurtle down the bigger pool slides without you having to worry.

On top of that, it boasts an enormous lagoon-style pool, honestly, one of the biggest I've ever seen. It even has a swim-up bar right in the water, making it incredibly easy to make the most of your all-inclusive wristband.

Regarding the buffet food, I have to say this is its weakest point. It's true that it's not bad, but when you compare it to everything else the resort has to offer, it does fall slightly short.

Overall, it’s a place I truly enjoyed visiting and had been looking forward to seeing. Back in 2024, I visited Lloret de Mar (staying at Amatista and L'Azure) and I had been itching to spend a few more days exploring the area.

And as always, if you have any questions, just drop us an email or a message on Instagram, and we'll gladly help you choose the best option for your family holiday.

#9. Hotel Jaime I

  • Personal rating: 7/10
  • Online Rating: 7.3/10
  • Salou (20 min from Reus Airport)
  • Around £160 a night
  • Worth a look if you’re after good value for money
  • English-speaking staff & entertainment
Check dates and prices 📅

PROS

  • Great value for money
  • Waterslides for everyone
  • Several large pools
  • Great entertainment team

CONS

  • Repetitive all-you-can-eat buffet

Read Our Experience 📝

This is a good hotel for an affordable holiday in one of Spain's most popular tourist areas, Salou.

The hotel features numerous snack bars, entertainment zones, and several pool and slide areas to keep everyone in the family entertained. It also offers heated pools in a wellness-style area for those looking to relax.

That said, it can be somewhat noisy during peak times, and the buffet could certainly be improved, as it tends to get a bit repetitive.

#10. Htop L'Azure

👑 The Chic Choice: For parents who want luxury (but have kids)
  • Personal rating: 9.0/10
  • Online rating: 9.1/10
  • Lloret de Mar (20 min from Girona Airport)
  • Around £200 a night
Check dates and prices 📅

PROS

  • Children's splash area
  • 3 magnificent swimming pools
  • Adults-only spa and gym
  • Adults-only rooftop with an infinity pool
  • Top-quality buffet food

CONS

  • Parking in the surrounding area is quite difficult
  • We wouldn't really recommend it for families with children over 5 years old

Read Our Experience 📝

This is an exceptionally peaceful hotel boasting top-notch facilities alongside absolutely amazing buffet and à la carte restaurants.

It features a relaxing chill-out area right by the main pool and a brilliant splash zone for the kids downstairs. Meanwhile, upstairs is a completely different world: you'll find a stunning rooftop infinity pool alongside an adults-only spa.

I highly recommend this hotel to couples with young kids. Thanks to their brilliant mini club, parents can drop the little ones off and actually get some proper time to enjoy the adults-only facilities, which are truly exceptional.

#11. Costa Encantada

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Great for large families
  • Personal rating: 8.0/10
  • Online rating: 8.5/10
  • Lloret de Mar, Costa Brava
  • Around £300 a night
Check dates and prices 📅

PROS

  • Multiple pool areas
  • Great water slides for younger kids
  • Indoor pool (family-friendly)
  • Large apartments (up to 6 people)

CONS

  • Not within walking distance to the beach
  • Small gym

My honest take 📝

If you're travelling with a large family, this is one of the most practical options you’ll find in this area.

The biggest advantage is the apartment-style accommodation. You can get up to 2-bedroom units that comfortably fit 5 or 6 people — which is not easy to find in most Spanish resorts.

The outdoor area is great for younger kids, with several pools and a dedicated splash zone full of slides, games and even pirate-style features. Perfect for children up to around 8 years old.

The location is quiet and residential, which is great if you want a more relaxed stay. The downside is that the beach is not within easy walking distance, so you’ll likely need transport.

There’s also a spa available for adults (not included), which means it’s usually not overcrowded — a nice bonus if you want some quiet time.

Overall, this is a very solid choice if you prioritise space and practicality over location.

Who is this hotel best for?

Best for large families with young kids (up to 8 years old) who need space, multiple beds and an easy, family-friendly setup.
