  • Multiple slide zones for all ages
  • Extremely comprehensive entertainment programme
  • Massive rooms, perfect for families

CONS

  • Inflatable rings for the slides aren't included in the all-inclusive package

My experience 📝

This is easily one of my absolute favourite spots in Malaga for a family getaway. The resort is massive and packed with things to do. The rooms are incredibly spacious, making it perfect if you like having a bit of breathing room after a long day in the sun.

The main highlight is the Beach Club, which operates like a proper water park right on your doorstep. Just keep in mind that while the all-inclusive is great, there are a few cheeky extras like renting the rings for the bigger slides.

#2. Pierre & Vacances Terrazas Costa del Sol

Budget Friendly

  • Manilva

PROS

  • Very cheap if booked well in advance
  • Ideal for large families
  • Kids' Club (open depending on the season)
  • Family pool plus an adults-only pool

CONS

  • Prices skyrocket if you book close to the summer season

My experience 📝

Honestly, I'm amazed by this find. For about €850, you can get a week in July in a well-equipped, lovely apartment within a complex featuring pools, kids' activities, gardens, adult activities, and a mini-club...

For a little extra, you can add breakfast or half-board.

If you don't mind taking the car for sightseeing or heading to the beach, because your main plan is to stay within the family resort most of the time, this is easily one of the best value-for-money options available right now.

CONS

  • The floor around the pool area is quite slippery

We kick off the list with this 4-star family hotel situated just 100 metres from the beach. A perfect all-inclusive spot for families with kids.

Its standout feature is undoubtedly the water park. It boasts 8 swimming pools, 3 of which are dedicated exclusively to children. Plus, it has slides of all shapes and sizes for every age group. However, keep in mind that the pools close at 6 PM, which is a bit early for my liking.

For the little ones, you'll also find a Mini Club (ages 4 to 12), an entertainment programme with a Mini Disco, swings, and a games room.

I highly recommend this hotel to families with kids up to 14 years old. The water park genuinely has slides to keep everyone entertained.

Regarding the beach, you should know that despite being very close, it's not the best in the area as it's quite rocky.

#4. Sol Principe

Photos
  • Google: 4.0/5
  • Torremolinos
  • Ideal for kids up to 12

PROS

  • Right on the beachfront
  • Lake-style pool with hydro-massage jets
  • Kids' Club (subject to season)

CONS

  • It gets extremely busy during the peak summer season

More info 📝

This hotel is a personal favourite of mine in the area if you're travelling with kids. It sits directly on the beachfront and features family rooms that accommodate up to 4 people, decently sized and spotlessly clean.

It boasts a massive lagoon-style swimming pool, complete with 3 hydro-massage areas and 2 aquatic bed zones. There's also another pool that offers direct access to the promenade and the beach. For the children, there's a Mini Club catering to ages 5 to 12. On top of that, the entertainment programme is packed and heaps of fun.

When it comes to dining, the buffet provides a great variety and good quality food. In this case, booking half or full board is well worth your money.

I definitely recommend this hotel to families with kids up to 12 years old looking for beachfront accommodation with plenty of kid-friendly activities.

#5. Iberostar Waves Málaga Playa

Photos
  • Google: 4.7/5
  • Torrox Costa
  • Ideal for babies & kids up to 6

PROS

  • Located right opposite Torrox beach and close to Nerja
  • Kids' pool with splash zone
  • Self-catering apartments available
  • All-inclusive option

CONS

  • The pools close at 6 PM in summer

More info 📝

If you're travelling with babies or toddlers, this hotel is a brilliant choice. There are several reasons why. Firstly, the location: it sits directly facing the beach. On top of that, you're only a 15-minute drive from charming towns like Nerja or Frigiliana.

For a good night's sleep, you can choose between traditional family rooms or studios and apartments with a kitchen. Just a heads up,the apartments are a bit snug (around 30 sqm), so if you're a large family, it might feel a bit cramped.

For the kids, the hotel provides a Mini Club, an entertainment programme, a pool with slides, and a toddlers' pool with a splash zone. While the little ones are having a blast, adults can unwind in the spa or hit the gym.

I'd suggest this hotel to families with children up to 6 years old who want a beachfront location with plenty of activities. The self-catering option makes it a lifesaver if you're travelling with babies.

#6. Hotel Best Triton

PROS

  • Kids' pool with slides
  • Just 200 metres from the beach
  • Spa and gym facilities
  • Spacious rooms

CONS

  • No all-inclusive package available

More info 📝

This is one of my personal favourites in Benalmádena. It sits on the front line, facing the promenade. The rooms are roomy and exceptionally clean. What's more, the complex has been recently refurbished, so everything feels fresh and new.

It boasts 3 swimming pools: one for the whole family, a kids' pool complete with slides and a pirate ship, and a heated indoor pool. During the summer, there's a day-and-night entertainment programme with activities and shows for everyone. Adults can also enjoy the gym and the spa.

The only downside for me is the lack of an all-inclusive option; full board is the maximum you can book.

I'd recommend this hotel to families with kids up to 6 or 8 years old who want a beachside holiday with great facilities for both the little ones and the grown-ups.

#7. Medplaya Hotel Bali

Photos
  • Google: 3.8/5
  • Benalmádena
  • Ideal for kids up to 5
Check availability and prices

PROS

  • Multiple pools and a splash zone for kids
  • Very close to the beach
  • Rooms fit up to 5 people (2 adults + 3 kids)
  • Tasty food

CONS

  • Very limited parking and tough to find street spots

More info 📝

If you're hunting for a hotel that suits large families, this could be spot on. Their family rooms can accommodate up to 5 guests. It's located just 250 metres from the beach, which is fantastic. But a quick heads-up: parking can be a bit of a nightmare as hotel spaces are limited and street parking is scarce.

It features two outdoor pools, highlighting the kids' pool with a splash zone that's absolutely perfect for babies and toddlers. The buffet restaurant offers decent quality and variety for a 3-star hotel, though again, there's no all-inclusive package available.

I recommend this hotel to families, especially larger ones, with young kids up to 5 years old. The splash area is very tailored to toddlers, so older kids might find it a bit dull.

#8. Sunset Beach Club Hotel Apartments

Photos
  • Google: 4.3/5
  • Benalmádena
  • Ideal for all ages
Check availability and prices

PROS

  • Right on the beach
  • 2 kids' pools
  • Massive apartments up to 2 bedrooms

CONS

  • Very crowded in peak summer

More info 📝

Are you a large family struggling to find decent accommodation? Keep reading, this is for you. The property features fully equipped 1- and 2-bedroom apartments that are incredibly spacious. They're spot on for large families or groups of friends, and they're located right on the beachfront.

It comes with two large swimming pools and a dedicated kids' pool. During the season, there's a Kids' Club and daily entertainment for all ages. It also houses 4 bars and restaurants (only open in summer).

On the downside, it's heavily geared towards British holidaymakers and gets exceptionally busy during peak season.

I recommend this place for large families or groups of mates who want beachfront convenience and self-catering freedom.

#9. H10 Estepona Palace

Photos
  • Google: 4.3/5
  • Estepona
  • Ideal for kids up to 12
Check availability and prices

PROS

  • Direct beach access
  • Daisy Club with kids' entertainment
  • Spa and gym
  • All-inclusive option available

CONS

  • You'll need a hire car to reach the town centre

More info 📝

We continue with this hotel in Estepona, right on the beachfront with direct access to the promenade. It's a proper family resort built for you to enjoy the all-inclusive lifestyle and the sea. If you fancy a trip into the town centre, bear in mind it's a fair trek so you'll definitely need a car.

The complex features 2 adult pools (one is heated in winter) and a separate kids' pool. It also runs a Mini Club and an entertainment programme. And if you fancy some pampering, their spa is the perfect escape.

On the all-inclusive front, I must point out that the food doesn't quite match the hotel's star rating. The buffet is fairly basic, and the quality could certainly be improved.

I recommend this hotel to families with kids up to 12 years old who just want an easy all-inclusive holiday by the sea.

#10. AluaSun Marbella Park

Photos
  • My Rating: 7/10
  • Google: 4.1/5
  • Marbella, Malaga
More info, prices and bookings

PROS

  • The pool slides are super fun
  • It's close to the beach, about a 5-minute drive
  • Very active and complete entertainment programme

CONS

  • Very crowded hotel, you'll have to queue for everything, including the buffet
  • The rooms are very small, especially if you travel as a family
  • The pool area is also quite small in relation to the number of rooms the hotel has

Read our experience 📝

We stayed for a weekend in this hotel with quite high expectations, as it is one of the most well-known hotels with slides on the Costa del Sol.

And well, to be honest, I was a bit disappointed.

It's quite an old hotel, with queues to check in since the entrance is very small for all the tourists arriving.

Then the room: tiny and unrenovated (there are others that are renovated, but of course, you have to pay more...).

We went on full board, although it offers All Inclusive, and both the buffet food and the snack bars had queues no matter what time you went.

It's a bit annoying because if you are on holiday, you don't feel like waiting in line for 15 minutes to order a coffee.

Now for the good part. The pools are a lot of fun, they have slides that lead into the pool, and then at the back you have an "adults only" zone (I put it in quotes because it was full of kids with their parents). In my opinion, if it is adults only, call it out if there are kids, and if not, just make it for all ages...

In summary, it's not the best hotel with slides on the Costa del Sol, but we wanted to go and try it so you could have a real review of which hotel is worth it and which isn't. But the area is very good, you can check out other hotels with slides in Malaga that we do recommend.

I recommend this hotel for small or single-parent families, since the rooms are quite small, who are looking for a hotel with slides in Marbella and don't mind that there are quite a lot of people and noise.

#11. Estival Torrequebrada

Photos
  • Google: 4.4/5
  • Benalmádena
  • Ideal for kids aged 4 to 12
Check availability and prices

PROS

  • Kids' pool with slides
  • Excellent value for money
  • Spa and gym
  • Adults-only facilities

CONS

  • Queues can build up in peak season, particularly at the buffet

More info 📝

We round off the list with a hotel I really like, mainly because it offers brilliant value for money. It's situated right on the seafront in Benalmádena.

You'll find facilities and activities to keep the whole family happy. For the little ones, there's a kids' pool with slides, a Mini Club (ages 4 to 12), and an entertainment programme. If you've got teenagers, they can blow off steam on the multi-sports court or play ping-pong. Adults get their own sanctuary with an adults-only pool (16+), a gym, and a spa.

The buffet is rather good and the food is tasty. They also have a snack bar and a café for bites between meals.

I highly recommend this hotel to families with kids aged between 4 and 12, as they'll get the most out of the pool and the kids' club.
