I’ve visited many resorts in the Caribbean, including 7 adults-only hotels in Cancún and I know their services, ambiance, areas and styles very well, from the most party-oriented to the most relaxing.
With that experience, I prepared a list of the best adults-only hotels in Cancún, depending on the type of trip you’re looking for.
Take five minutes to read this guide and don’t trust only the professional hotel photos. All hotels look spectacular when a photographer prepares the photos…
Quick summary Reosrts I’d definitely stay at again
👩🏻❤️👨🏻 If you're traveling as a romantic couple: Dreams Riviera Resort & Spa
🎉 If you're looking for parties: Temptation (35+ years) or RIU Caribe (25-40 years)
💎 If you're looking for an exclusive adults-only hotel: Planet Hollywood Adult Scene
💸 If you're looking for a good, affordable adults-only hotel: Sina Suites
1. Temptation Cancún Resort: A wild adults-only
- Personal rating: 7.8/10
- Google rating: 4.2/5
- Puerto Morelos. 25min from Cancún airport
- 5 Stars
Disclaimer: Photos are not allowed during parties at this resort for obvious reasons (topless pool, spicy parties, etc.). For a more in-depth review, check out our full Temptation Cancun review.
Temptation Cancún Resort is the most party-oriented and daring hotel in Cancún. Perfect if you're looking for unfiltered fun, good vibes, and a spicy but elegant atmosphere. It has a main pool with optional topless, themed parties with shows, entertainers in swimwear, DJs, and a restaurant with a sensual show during dinner.
The food is good quality, breakfast and lunch are very complete, and the rooftop bar with infinity pool is ideal for relaxing between all the partying.
If you want some rest, there are also several hot jacuzzis throughout the resort and a quiet pool without music or entertainment.
The average age here is 35-40+. If you’re looking for a younger party vibe (25–40), keep reading, the second hotel on our list is RIU Caribe.
Pros and Cons of Temptation Cancún
✅ Great party and entertainment that helps everyone meet each other
✅ Good restaurants and food
✅ Many jacuzzis
❌ Not recommended for traditional couples
2. RIU Caribe: The liveliest adults-only hotel
- Personal rating: 8.8/10
- Google rating: 4.4/5
- Cancún - North Hotel Zone. 30min from Cancún airport
- 5 Stars
The RIU Caribe is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort with a high-end feel. Ideal if you're traveling as a couple or with friends and looking for a good party, tranquility in its separate areas, and a touch of exclusivity. The atmosphere is geared towards people between 25 and 40 years old who want to have a good time without compromising on quality.
What surprised me most was the Pool Party RIU. Amazing music, shows, DJ, themed decorations, dancers, and all in a separate area, so those seeking peace won't even notice. It's the perfect dose of party without getting out of hand.
The food is another strong point. The à la carte restaurants are included and are top-notch. At the steakhouse, I tried a spectacular Rib-Eye and then the angus burger.
Positive point: the rooms have a premium minibar with tequila, rum, and gin included. So you don't need to order or go down to the bar. You have it right there in your room… hehe.
To disconnect, the beach is spacious and clean, you can book Balinese beds (at an extra cost) with cocktail and snack service, or go kayaking with your partner or friends at no extra charge. There's also a quiet pool with no music for relaxing.
Pros and Cons of RIU Caribe Cancún
✅ The best party atmosphere for people aged 25-40
✅ Also has quiet zones without music, separated from the bustle
✅ Excellent à la carte restaurant food
✅ Spacious and beautiful beach
❌ If you want total peace and quiet, this is not the hotel for you.
❌ No hydrotherapy circuits available
3. Dreams Riviera: Romantic and tranquil
- Personal rating: 7.8/10
- Google rating: 4.2/5
- Puerto Morelos. 25min from Cancún airport
- 5 Stars
Dreams Riviera Resort & Spa is a luxury hotel perfect for those seeking total relaxation and a quiet, adult atmosphere. It features a large infinity pool overlooking the sea, quiet zones, a stunning spa, and a small pool with slides for young children (although most guests are older adults seeking peace).
The food is excellent: breakfast 9/10, lunch 8/10, and quality à la carte restaurants. The staff is very friendly and everything runs smoothly, although there are quite a few mosquitoes due to the mangroves. Ideal if you want to relax without parties or noise, and I would definitely stay here again.
Also, the price is somewhat cheaper than other resorts in its category.
Pros and Cons of RIU Caribe Cancún
✅ The best party atmosphere for people aged 25-40
✅ Also has quiet zones without music, separated from the bustle
✅ Excellent à la carte restaurant food
✅ Spacious and beautiful beach
❌ If you want total peace and quiet, this is not the hotel for you.
❌ No hydrotherapy circuits available
4. Breathless Cancún: A mix of party, luxury and relaxation
- Google rating: 4.2/5
- North Hotel Zone. 25min from Cancún airport
- 5 Stars
Breathless Cancún Soul Resort & Spa is an adults-only hotel, modern and with a friendly and exclusive atmosphere. I haven't stayed at the one in Cancún, but I have at the one in Punta Cana, and since they're similar, it's a safe bet.
The most notable features of this hotel are the gourmet food, themed parties with DJs and dancers, and quiet areas to unwind.
The hotel follows this concept: luxury with energy, good vibes, and a mostly American and Canadian clientele looking for fun without excess.
Ideal if you want an adult atmosphere and don't want to miss either the party or the relaxation.
Pros and Cons of Breathless Cancún
✅ Themed parties with DJ and entertainment
✅ Also has zones without music for relaxation
✅ Rooftop with pool and sea views
✅ Gourmet à la carte restaurants included
❌ Their cocktail menu isn't as extensive as Hard Rock Cancún or RIU
❌ Not recommended if you're looking for relaxation, despite having relaxation zones.
5. El Beso Adults-Only by Ocean Riviera: The Hidden Gem near Cancun
- Personal Rating: 8.7/10
- Google rating: 4.7/5
- Playa del Carmen
- 5 Stars
One of the lesser-known adults-only resorts in the Riviera Maya and Cancun is El Beso Adults-Only by Ocean Riviera Paradise.
It’s an 18+ hotel located within the Ocean Riviera Paradise resort.
While it shares some areas with families, it also has adults-only zones, such as a quiet pool, a swim-up bar and a pool party with a DJ where the majority of guests are adults.
Personally, I really liked the vibe. Don’t expect crazy party energy, but I do recommend it for couples looking for peace and relaxation, with some atmosphere and the occasional party.
Pros and Cons of El Beso by Ocean Riviera Paradise
✅ Beautiful architecture and design
✅ Good food at the buffet and a la carte
✅ Great value for money
✅ The cleanest hotel I've seen in the Caribbean
❌ The beach is smaller than the others in Zona Hotelera.
6. Akuazul Resort Only-Adults: Luxury and Calm
- Google rating: 3.7/5
- Between South Hotel Zone and Puerto Morelos. 10min from Cancún airport
- Hotel boutique
Akuazul Resorts Adults Only is a boutique hotel with 33 rooms exclusively for adults that combines elegance, tranquility, and luxury service facing the Caribbean Sea (a bit further south of the South Hotel Zone).
Ideal for couples looking to disconnect and enjoy a quiet atmosphere without noise or crowds.
I would recommend it if you're looking for a place to spend three or four days as a couple, without moving much, and combining it with some excursions around the Riviera Maya.
Pros and Cons of Akuazul Resort
✅ Very quiet and private
✅ Good option if you don't want an “all-inclusive”
✅ Lower prices than a resort
❌ Located in a more remote area
7. Royalton Chic Adults-only: Party, beach and relaxation
- Google rating: 4,0/5
- North Hotel Zone. 35 minutes from Cancun Airport
- 5 Stars
Royalton Chic Cancún is a hotel for couples or friends looking for a balance between party, relaxation, and beach with a 24-hour all-inclusive.
It has à la carte dinner restaurants included in the price, live music with DJs, and entertainment with shows and performances featuring dancers (all very attractive, by the way haha).
During the day, they have activities like beach volleyball, pool games, and outdoor activities for those who want to socialize and meet new people.
Pros and Cons of Royalton Chic Cancún
✅ Themed parties with costumed entertainers
✅ Live music with DJ and great atmosphere
✅ Very good and varied buffet breakfast
❌ The buffet lunch needs improvement compared to other hotels in its category (RIU Caribe, Temptation…etc)
8. Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun: The most luxurious hotel
- Google rating: 4,6/5
- Hotel Zone. 35 minutes from Cancun Airport
- 5 Stars super luxury
Le Blanc Spa Resort is, without a doubt, the most luxurious adults-only resort in Cancún. If you're looking for a couples trip with attention to detail, deluxe gastronomy, and personalized service (they literally assign you a butler when you arrive and you communicate via WhatsApp to ask for whatever you need at any moment), this is the place.
Food is one of its strong points. The à la carte restaurants even surpass the luxury restaurants of Cancún. (They have Japanese, French, steakhouse restaurants…)
If you want to relax even more, there's a hydrotherapy circuit, sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, pools, and massages with natural oils.
There's soft live music in the evenings, wine tastings, and small gourmet events. Ideal if you're looking for romance, luxury, and absolute relaxation.
That said, prepare your wallet because it's one of the most expensive hotels in Cancún, with a price around $1,000 per night.
Pros and Cons of Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun
✅ Themed parties with costumed entertainers
✅ Live music with DJ and great atmosphere
✅ Very good and varied buffet breakfast
❌ The buffet lunch needs improvement compared to other hotels in its category (RIU Caribe, Temptation…etc)
9. Sina Suites: Affordable price and good quality
- Google rating: 4.5/5
- North Hotel Zone. 25 minutes from Cancun Airport
- 3 Stars
Sina Suites adults only is probably one of the best adults-only hotels in Cancún for value for money, since for just $100 per night you can book a suite during high season.
That said, don't expect luxury. It's a 3-star hotel with very good service, great reviews for the food at their La Isla restaurant, and very friendly staff who always help when you need it.
The area it's in is quieter, despite being in the North Hotel Zone, but in 15 minutes by taxi you're at Coco-Bongo and the party zone.
For me, it's one of the hotels that stays on my list for when I visit Cancún again.
Pros and Cons of Sina Suites
✅ Very good price in high and low season
✅ Very attentive customer service
✅ Good food at their La Isla restaurant
❌ Not an all-inclusive hotel
10. Planet Hollywood Cancun Adult Scene: A luxury themed hotel
- Personal Rating: 9.1/10
- Google rating: 4.0/5
- Costa Mujeres. 45 minutes from Cancun airport
- 5 Stars
The Planet Hollywood Resort is divided into two zones. One for families with pool slides and another area of the resort exclusively for adults.
So I'm going to talk about the adults area, but also about the common areas because guests over 18 can use both.
It has 11 à la carte restaurants included in the price. We tried 3 because we didn't have more time haha. And we loved all 3. Italian, sushi, and steakhouse.
Breakfast is also very good: fresh and varied, and for lunch you can go to à la carte restaurants or the buffet.
Regarding the staff, it's one of the resorts where they've been the most friendly and helpful in the entire Caribbean.
The extra point is that you have thousands of activities to do: cinema, trampolines for adults too, spa, sports car racing, shows, nightclubs… We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and barely had time to see and try half of the things hehe!
Pros and Cons of Planet Hollywood Cancun Adult Scene
✅ Thousands of activities to do
✅ Also has à la carte restaurants for lunch (very rare, as most resorts only have them for dinner)
✅ Very good food at à la carte restaurants and buffet
✅ The staff is among the best in the Caribbean (I've stayed at 25 hotels in the Caribbean to date)
✅ The adults area is separated from the family area
❌ We found very few cons to this hotel… in fact, it's the one we've given the highest rating of the 25 resorts we visited in the Caribbean.
