Javier Sobrino

Creator of Descubriendo Viajes

Hi! I'm Javier Sobrino, and I'm passionate about hotels. My job is simple: traveling across Spain, the Caribbean, and Europe to document the best hotels on this blog and my social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook) so you have firsthand information to choose your vacations and getaways without making mistakes.

I studied Economics at the University of Alcalá and later completed a Master's in Tourism Management and Planning at the University of La Laguna. I've always been passionate about entrepreneurship and travel. In 2013, while studying, I started creating websites and exploring the world of travel and hotels.

I've won awards in the IT and Travel sectors and traveled all over Spain. **YUZZ and Banco Santander even took me to Silicon Valley, California** to visit Google, Facebook, Airbnb... in recognition of my entrepreneurial spirit.

Now, I dedicate myself 100% to my travel blog. My mission is to discover hidden hotel gems so couples can enjoy unique romantic getaways and unforgettable vacations.

We focus on **hotels, resorts, and unique accommodations**. Our commitment is to give you an honest and real review of every experience.

We do not receive payments from the accommodations we film to appear in our videos. In the vast majority of cases, **we pay for the accommodation ourselves just like any other tourist**. Only then can we guarantee a clear, unfiltered, and 100% transparent opinion on where to invest your vacation time.

Our Business Model

**We don't make money filming hotels.** Our priority is to provide the best and most honest content to our followers and readers.

That's why the hotel comes second, and we avoid commercial contracts that compromise our opinion. We are funded through our **affiliate links** (at no extra cost to you) and by providing consulting to hotels that want to improve their online visibility.
